Spring Training Program Wrap-Up; 20-Man Active Roster Announced
Forward Evan Johnston was added to the 20-Man Active Roster which currently includes 2 goalies, 7 defensemen, and 11 forwards.
Though we are limited to 20 players on the 20-Man Active Roster at any one time, there is no limit to the number of players we can carry on our team as non-rostered players. In addition, the final team roster, for the purposes of the postseason, does not need to be set until December 31st.
Invitations will be given to additional players to attend our July Practice Skates each Monday Evening in July, and our Fall Training Camp the first two weeks of August.
At the conclusion of the Fall Camp we will extend offers to some of these players to join our team. While these players may, or may not, be on the 20-Man Active Roster at the start of the season, they will be on the team and in a great position to compete for active roster status and take advantage of various opportunities to make the 20-Man Active Roster.
Here is our alphabetical list of non-rostered players receiving invitations to attend our July Practice Skates and Fall Training Camp as non-rostered invitees: Players offered these positions must confirm acceptance by e-mail or phone call by Wednesday, June 6th or their spot will be opened up to another player.
Ahlgren, Brandon (confirmed)
Barr, Johnny (confirmed)
#17 Czarnik, Austin* (confirmed)
Davis, Christian (confirmed)
#6 Gaydayenko, Ivan* (confirmed)
Kassner, Garth
Powell, Kyle (confirmed)
*Indicates player has made the fall team but not currently on 20-Man Active Roster.
To all players who did not receive a spot on the 20-Man Active Roster, or an Invitation to attend our July Practices and Fall Training Camp as a non-rostered invitee, thank you for attending our Spring Training Program and we wish you the very best of luck in your future hockey endeavors.

Sammy Pahlsson Takes Center Stage In Stanley Cup Finals
Here is the link to a great article written about Sammy Pahlsson a client of my athlete representation firm, Eclipse Sports Management.
Sammy scored the game winning goal in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals to knock the Red Wings out of the playoffs, and then came up big in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals scoring the only goal in the Ducks 1-0 victory over the Senators.
While he's scored big goals in the playoffs its defense, not scoring, that is Sammy's forte as he is among the world's best defensive players and one of three finalists this season for the Selke Award as the NHL's Best Defensive Forward.
Sammy provides an excellent example to young players of the importance of players who can bring different skill sets to their teams and make substantial contributions at both ends of the ice.

Final Goalie Roster Spot Update
Goaltender, Brach Tiller, has just re-affirmed his commitment to our team and will join Kyle Laslo as our goaltenders for the Fall 2007-08 season.
Following a very competitive two month process of evaluating over 20 goaltenders from the time of our initial tryouts through the end of May, Brach emerged as the top goaltender who participated in our Spring Training Camp.
We believe that the 1991 Tiller and 1992 Laslo have the makings of one of the best U-16 goaltending tandems in the nation.
Our coaches and team management applaud the tremendous efforts of the other goaltenders who participated in our Spring Training Program.
We wish all of you the best of luck and hope to see you Sunday for the final Intrasquad Scimmage Game. Coaches Blake and Jabar along with myself would be very happy to speak with you on Sunday to provide further evaluation and assistance with finding a team for you for the fall.
