Intra-Squad Scrimmage Game Set

Participants of our spring training program will compete in an Intra-Squad Scrimmage Game on Thursday May 10th during the regularly scheduled practice time.

This will be a real game simulation with players assigned to one of two teams (light or dark). Rosters will be announced next week. It is very important for all players listed on one of the two rosters to participate in this game to provide us with the best possible opportunity to evaluate each player in our spring program.

In addition to this Intra-Squad Scrimmage Game we will be scheduling some exhibition games to be played in the second half of the month of May.

Fall Roster Update Part 2

The 2007-08 U-16 Belle Tire Wizards will carry 12 Forwards, 6 Defensemen, and 2 Goaltenders.

Today's Fall Roster Update Part 2 announces the 2 Defensemen who have already secured fall roster spot committments.

4 Defensemen roster spots remain open and competition for these spots will be fierce through the end of May.

We will be meeting with each Defenseman participating in our Spring Program who is competing for a fall roster spot on Tuesday May 8th. At that time we will provide feedback on how we've assessed each player's performance to date, and provide an indication of what their chances are to be offered a fall roster spot.

NEW !!! Showdown Tournament Game Lineups

All Goalies and Defensemen have been divided into two teams - Red and White. When the schedule for the tournament is received we will indicate next to each game which team of Defensemen and Goalies will be playing in which game. After the 4th game played in the tournament the coaches will select 6 defensemen and 3 goalies to dress for any additional game.

All Forwards in town that weekend will dress for every game. If an additional forward is added to the spring training program roster prior to the tournament that new forward will be rotated into the lineup at the coaches discretion.

Belle Tire Wizards To Enter Team In Showdown In Motown

Original plan for the spring training program did not include participation in AAA tournaments, only play in exhibition games. However, we have decided to enter a team in the Showdown in Motown Tournament the weekend of April 26 - 30.

Many of our players in the spring program will be gone that weekend participating in the Toronto Prospects Tournament. Those players who are not in Toronto will play in the tournament. Rosters for the Tournament and more details will follow.

Game Lineup 4/17 Vs. Honeybaked

Due to the decision to enter a team in the Showdown in Motown Tournament there have been several changes to the first exhibition game lineup.

The following players will be dressing to play in the game against Honeybaked on Tuesday 4/17 at Hazel Park Arena. Game time is 7:30 PM please arrive at the arena by 6:30 PM. Game jerseys will be provided to you at the arena.

Those players not listed are asked to attend the game as spectators if they are able and to bring their equipment with them in the case of a last minute lineup change.
